Stake Crash strategy: low-multiplier recovery vs 100x hunting

Crash is the high-tension game on Stake and Rainbet: a multiplier climbs from 1.00x and can bust at any moment, and you choose when to cash out. There are two completely opposite ways to play it with a system — low-multiplier grinding and high-multiplier hunting — and the right one depends entirely on how much variance you can stomach.

The core trade-off: hit rate vs payout

A low cash-out target hits often but pays little. A high target pays huge but almost never hits. Neither beats the house edge — they just move your wins around. Understanding that trade-off is the whole game.

Approach 1: low-multiplier recovery (1.25x)

Set a low auto-cashout like 1.25x and you’ll win the large majority of rounds. The catch is that a single miss erases several small wins, so the entire system lives or dies on a controlled recovery ladder — stepping bet sizes after a loss without going parabolic, and resetting on a win.

  • Frequent small green rounds — feels steady
  • Needs strict bet-size discipline so a cluster of misses doesn’t compound
  • Best for players who want a slower, lower-variance session

This is exactly what our Crash 1.25x Recovery sheet is built around.

Approach 2: high-multiplier hunting (100x)

The opposite extreme: set a high target like 100x and accept that most rounds lose. You survive on strict allocation — tiny, fixed “shots” sized so your bankroll can absorb long dry spells between rare big hits.

  • Most sessions are red; the appeal is the occasional large multiplier
  • Requires accepting lots of small losses without chasing
  • Only viable if each shot is a small fixed fraction of your bankroll

Our Crash 100x Hunter sheet sizes those shots and shows how many your bankroll buys.

Which should you pick?

If you want frequent action and a steadier graph, go low-multiplier. If you’re chasing a big number and can emotionally handle a wall of losses, go high-multiplier — with money you’ve fully written off. Many players keep both and switch based on mood and bankroll.

For entertainment only. No Crash strategy predicts the bust point or beats the house edge — outcomes are random, big multipliers are never guaranteed, and you can lose your entire bankroll. 18+ / 21+ where applicable. Gamble responsibly.
